We have an IPO sighting!!!!!  OneSeason released DeAngelo Williams last night – hope you all were around to grab a few shares of him.  This guy is a beast on the football field.  Not sure how that will cross over into his stock value – but regardless if you are competing in any fantasy OS leagues – GELO is a nice grab.

So what’s up with that stock symbol?  GELO would have never reminded me of DeAngelo Williams.  Maybe we need to get our polls running again to help OS pick a nice symbol  :)  So with the winter coming, anyone excited to start trading a little bit now.  One thing is for sure, IF you still feel OS will succeed long term, there isn’t a better time to buy.  Well, maybe there will be a better time but the point is, things are cheap.

So after seven long days of no IPO, Aaron Rodgers finally hit the OneSeason IPO pipeline today.  If you haven’t already, get your request in.  He will be released for trading tomorrow and will have 600-800 shares released.  Should be a very solid buy with NFL coming up sooner than later.  You gonna buy?

So if you haven’t seen already, check out the news below regarding the IPO submission process:

March.23rd.2009 2:33 AM Starting on Wednesday the 25th, there will be a new feature when requesting SOI-IPOs: Users will have to answer a question specifically about the player before they can put in their request. Example Question: Question: How many home runs did Ken Griffey Jr. hit in 1997? Answer: 56 If the question is answered correctly, you will be able to request the shares; if not, you may try again.

So this is obviously an attempt to 1) keep the automated submissions away.  2) Turn this more into a “game” per say.  But think about what this really does?  It makes the IPO request process more of a game in itself.  Now, when you get alerted that there is an IPO, you have to fine tune your “google” skills and search for the answer quickly.  Highly benefits us tech savy people who know where and how to find stuff quickly.

This now makes OneSeasonPRO.com not an option for submitting IPO requests. You must use the OneSeason interface.  I also think it makes reliable alerts even more important as you are not only going to need to know quickly, but have enough time to do the proper searches.

I know that some people are nervous about the growth of oneseason, and the rest of us are just waiting for more people to join, in the meantime we all wait and wonder. How will we know when Oneseason has arrived? When will Oneseason go from being just a dream, to the standard in Sports Entertainment? And when can those of us in here now plan our trip to Hawaii? Well I have 3 words to describe just that moment- ESPN SOI Ticker. The day when we know that this is for real is the day they launch the ticker during sports center, with a nice cover story to go along with it. That is my dream for Oneseason.

Oneseason Nation leader Bullpup spoke about the Yahoo factor during the first few days of oneseason, in a recent article at the Nation. It was amazing how many people joined over those first 2 weeks. Most of the people who joined early on can trace their referral back to Yahoo, including myself.

We have all been wondering if there will be another surge like that, or if the growth will be slowed to a normal pace, and moreover, will this thing ever achieve the huge number of users that some of us dream about, like the 1 million mark. Well an ESPN SOI Ticker could either provide just that surge, or just be the final destination of a couple of years of strong growth, either way an ESPN SOI Ticker will be a scrolling stamp of approval from the sports world that Oneseason is for real and here to stay.

Once this happens we will see sports SOI shows devoted to talking Oneseason shareholder value. We’ll see articles in the major sports magazines, and we’ll even see new publications and books all devoted to Oneseason. There will be success stories, trading advice and all kinds of call in radio shows.

Just imagine a Jim Cramer “Mad Money” for Oneseason, maybe with Bullpup as it’s host. Maybe you’ll hear Shay and the gang at oneseasonpodcast.com on a national ESPN radio show. And maybe you’ll see Knup with his own section on the ESPN website. Not to mention the fact that the Nation, consisting of oneseasonnation.com, OneSeasonTrader.com and oneseasonpodcast.com will be the place to go on the web for all of your oneseason news, talk and advise. All of this could be made possible by the ESPN factor, which will be visible at the bottom of the screen in a scrolling ticker.

I’m waiting for that day, or even for us to start moving forward again, but until then let’s just enjoy the ride and dream.

I fell asleep to ESPN last night, and I had a dream of a ticker going by the bottom of the screen, Brady was all green as he was getting ready to start another Super Bowl after a great comeback season, and I reached for my laptop to check my account.
