OSFantasy tournament style game

OSFantasy listened to people’s desires and is pleased to bring you it’s newest game.  Think of it as an NCAA tournament for your NFL SOI’s.  32 teams, each with a starting QB, 2 WR’s, and 2 RB’s will be paired up at the start.  Head-to-Head outcomes each week are based on a traditional fantasy scoring system, with multipliers factored in depending on your players’ ownership %’s.  Win, and you move on.  Lose, and you go home.

Seeing a Shift to NFL?

Remember back in the day when the lowest 10 SOI’s in terms of value were NFL players?  That wasn’t too long ago.  We would poke fun of all the NFL runningbacks and wide receivers because they just couldn’t hold any decent value.  Well take a look at the market value chart now… 9 out of the lowest 10 SOI values are MLB and NBA.  Only 1 NFL SOI and that is Brandon Marshall.  We are starting to see some people shift from MLB and NBA to NFL – getting all geared up for later this fall.  It’s a tough thing to buy guys out of sport, but honestly now is the time to buy them while their values are low.

So I guess I can understand why NBA guys are low.  Guys like DIRK and ODEN.  I mean they are 100% done with their season and really there is not a lot of reason to hold these guys through the off-season.  But why in the world are some of these MLB guys so low?  JHAM the lowest SOI at $3000 market value?  Are you kidding me.  BOSS (BJ Upton) at $3383 and PAPI at $3909… Ok… I’ll stop there because I can totally see why PAPI is that low.  He is garbage this year.

What’s the point of this post?  I suppose there really is no real point.  Just stating the obvious and I think it’s kind of cool how we see a shift in SOI values as we move from season to season.  If you are wanting to be involved with OneSeason during this upcoming NFL season, now might be a good time to stockpile some of those players.  When will we see Mr. Greinke?
